Women in a skill training session
11+ Years of community work
Our Story

Built on the strength of women, for the strength of the nation

We began the way most community organisations begin — with a handful of women in one village who wanted a way to earn without leaving their children behind. What started as a single tailoring circle has grown into a network of training centres, self-help groups, producer collectives and welfare programmes reaching families across districts.

Our approach has stayed the same throughout. We do not arrive with a fixed plan. We sit with the community, understand what already exists — a skill, a piece of land, a tradition — and build the missing pieces around it: training, working capital, market access and the confidence to negotiate.

Purpose

Mission, vision and the values we hold

Our Mission

Our Vision

Our Values

Dignity before charity. Transparency in every rupee. Decisions made with the community, never for it. And an absolute commitment to inclusion — of caste, faith, ability and age.

Our Method

How a programme actually reaches a household

Every intervention follows the same disciplined path, whether it is a weaving cluster or a digital literacy batch.

A success story from the field

1. Listen and map

We spend time in the village before we spend money in it — understanding household income, existing skills, barriers and who is being left out.

2. Organise the group

Women are brought together into a self-help group or training batch with elected office bearers, so responsibility is shared from day one.

3. Train with practice

Hands-on training with free kits and raw material, combined with financial literacy so that a skill translates into a priced product.

4. Link to market and credit

Buyer linkage, exhibitions, bank account opening and credit linkage — the step most training programmes skip, and the one that decides success.

5. Hand over and follow up

The group runs its own accounts and decisions. We stay on as a support line, tracking earnings and stepping back in only when needed.
